The Work It Out Programme

Why Work It Out is so Awesome

The Work It Out programme involves a series of workshops, one on one mentoring and financial assistance for young people to go after their preferred career options.  The programme can help you sort out what you want to do with the next stage of your life if you are not sure, or it can support you to secure access to employment or further training if you know what you want.

The Work It Out programme is run in the Northern Rivers of NSW by CONNECT.  Work It Out is funded by the NSW Department of Industry under the VET Pathways Programme.  A number of other organisations have been funded to run this programme, so if you do not live in this part of NSW, you can check out the other providers to see if the VET Pathways program is running in your area.  Checkout the List of Providers.

I did the Work It Out Program in Kyogle in May 2016. I must admit I was a bit reluctant to start the program, but once I got into it, I really enjoyed it. I now feel much better about myself, I feel confident and I gained a lot of information on how to secure a job. I found the group workshops supportive and valuable. Best of all I now have a job working in youth work, exactly what I wanted.

At CONNECT, our Vision is to see all young people in the Northern Rivers empowered to reach their full potential.
